We’re seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Activity Director to lead life enrichment programming that inspires residents to thrive socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. About the Role As the Activity Director, you’ll plan and coordinate life-enriching programs designed to promote well-being, personal growth, and a strong sense of community. You’ll work closely with residents, families, staff, and community partners to create activities that make every day meaningful. Key Responsibilities * Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct all activity programs within the facility. * Design engaging activities that encourage residents to explore new interests, express creativity, and build lasting connections. * Coordinate community service projects, intergenerational programs, and volunteer opportunities that foster purpose and human connection. * Encourage resident-to-resident friendships and organize events that promote fun, entertainment, and fellowship. * Incorporate wellness-focused programming around health, fitness, vitality, and personal care. * Perform administrative tasks, including preparing reports and submitting required documentation to the administrator. * Make daily rounds to announce and encourage participation in scheduled activities. * Ensure adequate supplies and resources are available for planned activities. * Assist residents in scheduling and attending appointments; must be able to drive facility vehicles. * Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and local organizations to enhance program offerings. Qualifications * Must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license and a clean driving record. * Ability to work tactfully and harmoniously with residents, families, staff, and external partners. * Strong leadership, creativity, and organizational skills. * Able to lift, move, or carry up to 10 pounds to a minimum height of 10 feet and a distance of 10 feet. * Willingness to be active and mobile throughout the workday. * Previous experience in senior living, life enrichment, or activity programming preferred but not required.
