Job Description

Insight Global is partnering with one of the largest government aerospace manufacturing contractors, supporting an enormous remodification project for highly important aircrafts. This is a contract based role, located in San Antonio, TX. Contracts are 1 year + extensions.(likely to stretch straight through 2027, and potentially longer). The technical title of this role is Manufacturing Planning Engineer.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience translating manufacturing requirements from Liason Engineering teams (QC or Materials Review Board) and developing the sequencing plan supporting future manufacturing
• Ability to effectively read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience utilizing Manufacuturing Execution Systems such as Goldsp and ability to navigate 3D software (CATIA, Autocad, Autodesk Fusion, Solid Edge, etc.)
• Must have experience working in the aerospace industry

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
• Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
• Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
• Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
• Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
• Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
• Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
• Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
• Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
• Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
• Implement lean principles and technologies.

*Candidates must be willing to relocate to San Antonio, TX within 2-4 weeks of job offer if interested in pursuing the role further and not local to TX*
