ViewRay Systems designs, manufactures, and markets the MRIdian A3i® radiation therapy system to treat cancer patients with the smallest radiation therapy margins available with the highest patient throughput demonstrated for the most complicated cases The system treats by aligning the sharpest radiation therapy beam on the market to diagnostic quality magnetic resonance images (MRIs) of the patient, adapts the treatment plan to the reality of the patient, and then uses the real-time MRIs to control the beam and record real-time doses delivered to the patient. 

Job Description

ViewRay Systems is currently seeking an Applied Clinical Scientist who will share our passion for conquering cancer and help us develop systems novel cancer therapy systems. 

ViewRay Systems is currently seeking an individual with experience as an RTT, medical dosimetrist (CMD) or medical physicist to join our clinical services team. The successful candidate will be a cornerstone in helping us to deliver and develop training in the use of cutting-edge cancer therapy systems. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing the highest quality clinical training to our customers.

Other duties will include supporting the R&D team with clinical input for the development of new cutting-edge radiation therapy platforms.

Carry out design V&V of system updates and new product lines as needed, and work with our innovation/product development team to develop testing protocols 

Support customers in their implementation of adaptive radiation therapy programs; this may include signposting customers to other users or offering a niche clinical training syllabus.

Responsibilities:

• Educate clinicians on the benefits and applications of MRI guided therapy.

• Provide Clinical support in implementing MRI guided and adaptive therapy.

• Develop clinical training programs.

• Support R&D in developing novel cancer therapy systems and workflows.

• Support Customer issues and have input to resolving issues. 

• Physics support in testing, commissioning and acceptance.

• Support internal testing, validation, verification, defect analysis and research development.

• Consolidate the voice-of-the-customer and facilitate the enrichment of the VR platform.

Required Qualifications

• BS in Physics, Biomedical Engineering or Healthcare related discipline. 

• Excellent spoken and written English language. 

• Comfortable presenting to clinical teams. 

• Must be based within the United States or have the right to work.

Valued Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical imaging 

• Knowledge of radiation oncology 

• Good understanding of human anatomy and physiology

• MRI guided treatment experience. 

• QA and Physics knowledge. 

• SBRT treatment experience.

Job Type: Full-time 

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Work Location: Remote within the US with extensive travel approx. 50%+
