Job Description

Job Summary: The Designer I-III is responsible for architectural building information modeling from project conception through permitting and construction documents on largest and most complex projects. This role may be responsible for specific technical design aspects of assigned projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions. The Designer III independently makes decisions on significant architectural design problems and methods, while mentoring less experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Documentation: Produces conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents. Provides illustrations and graphic documents for client presentations. Creates presentation documents and 3D study models. Reviews construction documents to ensure consistency with design intent and all interior design documents for quality, completeness, and consistency with project scope.
  • Code Compliance : Review applicable building codes, zoning codes, and other applicable regulations; assist Project Architect in project implementation and compliance.
  • Problem Solving: Leads a collaborative effort in resolving design issues and reaches a solution through constructive dialogue ; develops and review details and ensures industry best practices in constructability.

Education: Associate’s Degree in Architecture; Accredited degree preferred

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of architecture experience.
  • Ability to audit architectural models.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Revit.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a professional, creative, open office environment with business casual attire.
