Banking Finance Associate – High-Level Corporate Lending Role

Location: New York, New York

Experience Required: 6-8 Years in Big Law as a Banking/Finance Associate

Compensation: Competitive or Above Big Law Market

Range: $375,000-450,000

Our client, a publicly traded fund, is seeking an experienced Banking Finance Associate to join a prestigious team. The role is focused on high-level lending transactions and advisory work. This is an excellent opportunity for a top-tier candidate with a proven background from a leading law firm, to join a dynamic, deal-oriented practice with a strong focus on private funds and BDC (Business Development Company) lending .

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and advise on complex lending transactions, working closely with top financial institutions, private equity firms, and other clients in the financial services space.
• Manage and execute deal-oriented projects, including structuring, negotiating, and drafting financing documents.
• Provide high-level advisory work for clients across various industries, focusing on strategic lending and investment opportunities.
• Interact regularly with clients and handle client relationships on sophisticated matters.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to provide comprehensive legal counsel for financing transactions.

Required Experience:

• 6-8 years of experience from a top-tier law firm in banking finance, specializing in lending transactions and advisory work .
• Strong knowledge of private funds and BDC lending , with experience structuring and advising on both syndicated and bilateral loan transactions.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale, complex transactions and client relationships.
• A proven track record in providing legal advice on highly technical matters with the ability to execute at a high level.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client-centric approach.
