ProRank is a boutique search firm and we are working with a client to help them fill a position for a Associate Electrical Engineer for a hybrid role requiring at least 2 days in office each week .

Location: Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Seattle Office (California-based candidates only)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers on a variety of electrical design projects.
• Produce coordinated design drawings, models, specifications, site observation reports, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with utility companies and manage electrical permit approvals.
• Organize technical and financial proposals for new projects.
• Oversee and verify the quality of work for Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians.
• Lead concept and preliminary engineering solutions, as well as detail design.
• Prepare and review technical specifications.
• Monitor project financial performance, resourcing, and expenditure.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance.
• Ensure adherence to current legislation, building codes, and best practices.
• Actively contribute to project delivery, ensuring client objectives are met.
• Monitor and balance team workload to meet project deadlines.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience in building services and construction, particularly in sectors such as Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and/or Stadiums.
• Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is desirable.
• LEED AP accreditation is preferred.
• Experience with Revit and computational analysis tools (e.g., electrical fault analysis, lighting design software).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to propose innovative solutions.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, including presenting technical solutions to C-suite stakeholders.
• Experience in preparing and delivering technical reports to clients.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and present multiple solutions with objective analysis.
• Must have prior electrical engineering work experience in California.
