Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish) Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical and technical skills, as well as excellent computer proficiency. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, utilities, and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-minded, and comfortable using computer systems for reporting, preventive maintenance scheduling, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, record repairs, and manage inventory.
• Read, interpret, and maintain technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and company standards.
• Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with team members, vendors, and supervisors.
• Support training and guidance for production staff on proper equipment care and safe operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, food production, or industrial environment.
• Bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish) – verbal and written.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, CMMS software, email, and reporting tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.

 
Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting/programming.
• Welding, fabrication, or HVAC knowledge.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or regulated industry.
