Project Manager (BIW / GA Tooling)

Note ** Qualified candidates must come from the Machine Tool Industry, not product/OEM..

Industry Focus:

• Body-in-White (BIW) : Welding and assembly of a car's sheet metal frame before paint.
• General Assembly (GA) : Installation of components (seats, electronics, dashboards, etc.) into the painted body shell.

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee full project lifecycle: engineering → manufacturing → tryout → installation.
• Ensure project stays on timeline, budget, and meets quality expectations.
• Lead customer/internal meetings, coordinate departments, and manage scope changes.
• Prepare financial reports, track engineering changes, and monitor resource needs.
• Advise during machine debug/installation; minimal travel (~20%, includes Canada/Mexico).
• Software skills required: MS Project and MS Excel.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 7+ years in Project Management within BIW or GA tooling
• Automotive tooling background is non-negotiable
• Experience managing complex integration projects from design through launch
• Strong organizational and communication skills, technical understanding of equipment build
