The Business Analyst role is to gather requirements from customers and author technical design documents. This role will work directly with customers to gather business requirements through design sessions. This role will have the responsibility for the creation of a detailed design document that contains all of the requirements for development of a software product. As a member of the Project Service team, the Business Analyst will work closely with other team members, software engineers, and project managers to ensure a high-quality product is produced per the timeline established. The ideal candidate is detail oriented with a natural analytic way of thinking.
Summary of Job Duties:
• Lead design document sessions with customers to gather business and technical requirements.
• Review business processes to create efficiencies and conformance to company and industry best practices.
• Provide expertise on the software's capabilities and limitations and provides the best alternatives to solve the business needs.
• Gather information, document processes, create detailed requirements, troubleshoot issues, assist in unit testing, and implement solutions.
• Assist in the creation of test cases.
Skills:
• Possess a general understanding in the areas of application programming and system design.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, document and design appropriate solutions.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written in English to a variety of audiences including customers, team members, project managers, and management.
• Ability to self-learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks, work under pressure, acquire and apply technical skills with limited supervision.
• Experience in creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business of an Analyst related field
• More than 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Proven analytical skills with strong critical thinking
• Experience as a team member on a process-oriented complex project
• Experience with conducting virtual and in-person meetings compromised of up to 25 people.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure, manage workloads, meet deadlines and prioritize efficiently.
