This is an on-site  position. Candidates must be located in South Florida.

The Opportunity

TECKpert is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in support of our client, a government agency in Miami, FL. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure system solutions meet organizational needs. This role will support IT modernization initiatives, system enhancements, and integration efforts to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to deliver solutions.
• Conduct business process analysis, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Develop use cases, process flows, and data models to support system design.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case creation and execution.
• Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and quality standards.
• Support change management and stakeholder communication.
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to project planning and prioritization.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $95,000  per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, process documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Proficiency with SQL, data analysis, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow).
• Knowledge of testing practices including UAT coordination and QA.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in government, healthcare, or enterprise IT projects preferred.
