📦 Will relocate to new Americas HQ in Eastern North Carolina (~2 years)

🌎 Scope: North America and Latin America | Manufacturing, Sales & Corporate

You didn’t step into HR leadership just to manage policy. You chose it to lead transformation: shape culture, guide leaders, align functions, and build the frameworks that help people and businesses grow.

That’s exactly what this opportunity offers.

We’re conducting a confidential retained search for a Chief People Officer, Americas to join a global healthcare manufacturing company at a pivotal inflection point. This is a strategic leadership role spanning multiple legal entities and countries across North America and Latin America.

This role calls for a business-minded HR executive—someone who can partner directly with the regional CEO, align with global headquarters, and lead across functions, countries, and cultures. It’s a rare chance to lead through complexity, influence at the highest levels, and still be hands-on in the moments that matter most.

About the Company

Our client is a global medical equipment and healthcare manufacturer with complex, multi-entity operations across the Americas—including manufacturing plants, commercial teams, and corporate hubs. The business serves highly technical customers and end consumers through regulated products—and is expanding aggressively across both sites and markets. With significant investment and ongoing expansion across manufacturing sites, owned entities, and markets, the region is scaling rapidly—and needs unified leadership to align people, processes, and performance.

With strong commercial momentum and an ambitious transformation ahead, the Americas business needs more than stability—it needs a unifying force. Someone who brings structure, alignment, and a deep sense of ownership.

The Role

This is not a status-quo HR role. It’s a rare opportunity to unify fragmented people systems, advise the CEO directly, and lead regional transformation at both the enterprise and entity level. The structure is lean, the challenges are complex—and your leadership will define what comes next.

You’ll lead HR strategy for a workforce of over 4,000 employees—spanning manufacturing plants, commercial teams, and corporate functions across the Americas.

You’ll lead at the executive level—partnering closely with the Americas CEO and engaging with global headquarters. You’ll engage directly with in-country leaders on hiring, performance, and compliance—while actively influencing strategy, resolving issues, and leading change in real time.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the top HR executive for the Americas, reporting directly to the regional CEO
  • Oversee HR teams across subsidiaries and countries in the Americas region
  • Provide leadership to local HR professionals and foster alignment across business units and cultures
  • Guide talent strategy, org design, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development
  • Establish scalable HR frameworks that support both day-to-day operations and long-term growth
  • Collaborate with site-level leaders across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and LATAM on recruiting, training, engagement, and compliance
  • Balance big-picture strategy with the ability to dig into local, entity-specific issues when needed
  • Oversee HRIS implementation and management to enable data-driven decision-making across the region
  • Ensure labor law compliance across multiple countries
  • Lead the regional people strategy through a major transformation—including the move to a new regional HQ and manufacturing center in Eastern North Carolina within the next couple of years

What You Bring

  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership, including full HR ownership for a multinational manufacturing business
  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels—trusted by CEOs, respected by manufacturing leaders, and known as the advisor who brings clarity, earns buy-in, and gets results across complex businesses
  • Experience overseeing HR for a workforce of 4,000+ employees across North and Latin America
  • Experience supporting operations across the Americas in a $200M–$2B region within a larger global company
  • Skilled at navigating matrixed organizations and multicultural environments; experience with Japanese corporate culture is a plus
  • Background in healthcare, regulated manufacturing, or similarly complex, multi-entity environments—healthcare, medical device, or life sciences industry experience strongly preferred
  • English fluency required; Spanish or Portuguese a plus
  • Master’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) a plus

Location & Travel

  • Preferred location: Miami, FL (4 days in office / 1 remote)
  • Non-local candidates must be able to spend 2 weeks per month in Miami
  • This role will relocate to the company’s new regional HQ in Eastern North Carolina in approximately 2 years (relocation required)
  • Frequent travel may be required for this position

This is a regional role with global exposure—ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic influence with operational execution across borders.

If you’re ready to drive impact across borders, advise the C-suite, and help shape the future of a global manufacturing business with major growth ahead—this is the role you’ve been waiting for. Apply confidentially to explore further.
