Job Description

Who Are We?

We are a family of brands that brings together our love for fashion and caring for others. Every day, our mission is to help the less fortunate and make a difference in the world. We have over 160 locations in 38 states across our five brands; and we're looking to grow each brand substantially over the next three years.

Our Mission

“Stand Out. For Good”. At Altar’d State, those four words are more than just our motto, they are why we exist. From Mission Mondays, where 10% of our net proceeds go directly to local charitable organizations, to our long-standing partnership with Coprodeli USA, in which we are in the process of building 22 schools for impoverished communities in Peru, we are committed to giving back in meaningful ways to those in need.

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and motivated Designer to join our team as we continue to evolve and grow our brand. The ideal candidate will bring strong design expertise and a deep understanding of industry trends, materials, and production processes. You will be responsible for creating unique and exciting designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of products from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design exclusive and unique collections that align with the company’s mission and target market.
  • Stay current with trends in design, prints, color, fabrics, and production techniques to create innovative and relevant products.
  • Contribute to product development by providing design input on prototypes, samples, trims, and color palettes.
  • Collaborate with merchants and leadership to ensure designs meet technical, financial, and aesthetic standards.
  • Ensure products are delivered on time by coordinating with cross-functional teams, including merchants, production, and planning teams.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about competitor products, trends, and opportunities within the industry.
  • Oversee the design process, ensuring quality and attention to detail are maintained from concept to finished product.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product messaging and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on women’s fashion or relevant categories. Experience in children’s clothing design is a plus.
  • Strong graphic design background to create fun, new prints
  • Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and PLM tools.
  • Strong understanding of fabric technologies, production processes, and garment construction.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and a solid understanding of product development and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and motivate others to achieve team goals.
  • A strong design sense with a passion for innovation and creativity in all aspects of product design
