Job Description

An amazing company here in Oklahoma City is looking for a Claims Adjuster to join their team. As a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster, you’ll be responsible for managing a caseload of workers' compensation claims from start to finish. This includes investigating claims, coordinating with medical professionals, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and negotiating settlements—all with a focus on fair, timely resolutions and cost control.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and determine compensability of claims by gathering information from claimants, employers, medical providers, and other relevant parties.
  • Manage all aspects of the claims process, including setting reserves, authorizing benefits, and monitoring ongoing treatment.
  • Communicate regularly with injured workers, employers, and legal/medical professionals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with state laws and company policies.
  • Work toward claim resolution through negotiation, mediation, or litigation support as needed.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions, representing the company's interests.
  • Stay current on state-specific workers' compensation laws and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience adjusting workers’ compensation claims.
  • Oklahoma State adjuster license
  • Solid understanding of workers' compensation laws and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with claims software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
