Insight Global is assisting in a client's expansion and looking for talented individuals to join them on-site in Hampton, VA. This is a true contract-to-hire position with the potential for long-term growth and conversion full time after 6-months!

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience setting and operating 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machine tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Plusses:

• Experience with Fanuc, Citizen, and Mazatrol is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a range of 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machine tools.
• Verify programs and settings using a range of measuring equipment on first articles.
• Ensure component compliance with engineering drawings and quality procedures.
• Record daily operations and provide operational equipment effectiveness (OEE) results.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the department.
• Maintain and improve time standards.
• Ensure daily maintenance is carried out as required.
• Observe health and safety regulations and adhere to company procedures.

Day-to-Day:

As a CNC Machinist, you'll be responsible for the setup, optimization, and operation of various CNC machines within the machine shop. You'll review blueprints, program the machines, monitor their operation, and check the quality of the parts using measuring tools. Routine maintenance and adherence to EH&S policies and procedures are also key aspects of this role.

Compensation:

$22/hr to $27/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
