Job Description

WHY WE’RE LOOKING:

Help people become like Jesus and join Him on mission as you use your creative skills! Lead graphic design team to support the mission and vision of Mission Hills and manage all print production – in-house, local, and online vendors. Work collaboratively with the communication team and internal ministries to manage projects from inception to completion.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suites – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop – and knowledgeable about design specifications for print
  • (both digital and offset printing)
  • Knowledge of print and bindery

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Creative Team Direction and Execution

  • Work collaboratively with members of the communication team to create a cohesive and consistent communication strategy for the ministries of Mission Hills Church.
  • Direct and nurture other designers through the creative process and their ongoing skills training.
  • Work closely with the ministries of Mission Hills Church to design collateral materials that best represent their vision for their ministry within the context of the overall vision of the church.
  • Create communication strategies to promote teaching series, big events, and other campaigns.

Creative Design + Print Execution

  • Create designs to support Mission Hills Church, including but not limited to logos, marketing collateral, sermon series collateral, and other published materials for print, digital, and video.
  • Play a lead role in creative sessions for project kick-offs. Collaborate with staff and Serve team to develop concepts to present to leadership and ministries.
  • Set the stylistic direction of advertising and marketing materials and campaigns in print, video, and digital. Determine the best ways for us to visually represent our identity.

Project Management + Brand Development

  • Maintain a high level of detail while working within deadline time pressures, changing environments and priorities.
  • Participate in continuous process improvements to keep department efficient and effective. Includes but not limited to Asana and Dropbox management.
  • Develop systems to organize, prioritize, and communicate promotional items.
  • Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes.
  • Maintain brand guidelines and enhance the overall MHC brand and identity.
  • Advance the mission of Mission Hills Church beyond our campus by providing marketing strategy for a multi-site campus, online learning opportunities, and other forward-looking endeavors.
