Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Job Description



NBC Connecticut is looking for a visionary Creative Services Producer to join our Marketing & Creative Services team.

We’re seeking a passionate visual storyteller who excels at creating compelling, audience-driven content across streaming, linear, and social platforms. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings fresh, innovative ideas to the table.

The ideal candidate is fluent in current digital and design trends, has strong graphic design and video editing skills, and is eager to partner closely with our News team to craft engaging, impactful stories that resonate with viewers across all platforms.

The ideal candidate understands the current landscape of branded content, is up to date with camera and editing technology, and is constantly innovating and pushing the creative to speak to the current state of the world. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, script, and produce short-form and long-form video content optimized for streaming, linear, and social platforms.
  • Collaborate with News and production teams to align creative with brand voice and campaign goals.
  • Manage post-production workflows including editing, color correction, and asset delivery.
  • Experiment with new formats and creative approaches to drive innovation and audience growth. 
  • Assist NBC Connecticut’s lifestyle & entertainment show, “CT Live” with content idea generation & effective production strategy and execution.
  • Work on cross-promotional projects & opportunities for Telemundo Connecticut
  • Collaborate with Creative Services team on creation of new “NBC Connecticut’s Kids Connection” content and oversee certain aspects of show production.
  • Craft compelling visual narratives, execute high-quality video edits, and design dynamic motion graphics and visual assets that align with brand strategy and campaign goals

Qualifications

:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of digital content creation for streaming platforms and social media (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook).
  • A minimum of 1 year developing and executing creative concepts tailored to platform-specific formats (e.g., Reels, Shorts, Stories, Promos).
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop

  • Prior years’ experience working in a creative services department as a writer/editor/producer.
  • Strong storytelling skills with an eye for visual composition, pacing, and audience engagement.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Understanding current trends and cultural moments relevant to specific platforms and audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • “Hands-on” knowledge of promo editorial process from beginning to end.
  • Must exhibit highly conceptual thinking and writing skills. Must be a good storyteller.
  • Interpersonal and strong time project management skills are necessary.
  • Ability to direct shoots and work with on-camera talent.
  • Outstanding communicator and collaborator in a team setting.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations too.

Eligibility Requirements

  • An interested candidate must submit a resume/CV and reel of recent work through to be considered.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overnights.
  • Must have the ability to work any of a 24 x 7 shift.
  • Must be willing to work at the station in West Hartford, CT.
  • Required on site: The position is required to be performed full-time form an NBCUniversal designated worksite.
