Job Description

As a Customs Brokerage Entry Writer, you will be responsible for preparing, compiling, and managing documents and records to clear goods through U.S. Customs.

Duties

• Prepare customs entries for all shipments to be submitted to U.S. Customs promptly.
• Review documents to check for accuracy and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Identify products subject to OGA’s.
• Derive Harmonized schedule tariff and enter OGA/PGA data.
• Communicate with customers on CBP, OGA, and exceptions.
• Manage daily tracking reports for open shipments.
• Handle accounting processes including the issuance of invoices and freight bill approval.
• Additional duties relating to Customs Brokerage and Freight Forwarding operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a similar field preferred.
• A Customs Broker License is preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years related experience and knowledge of US Customs and Harmonized Tariff Codes.
• Experience with CargoWise One is strongly preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

This is a permanent full-time position that requires extensive training and only candidates with a demonstrated commitment to the company will be considered.

This is an on-site-only job. No telecommuting.
