DevOps Engineer

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)

Position Overview: Are you passionate about DevOps and excited to make a difference in the IoT sector? Our client, a leader in geotechnical and geospatial monitoring solutions, is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a focus on Kubernetes and containerization. In this role, you will be a key player in driving industry advancements through innovative projects. Primary Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment pipelines, with a focus on Azure DevOps.

Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters on major cloud platforms.

Optimize Kubernetes for peak performance and efficient resource use.

Contribute to the team’s journey towards achieving security accreditations.

Implement and oversee containerization technologies, particularly Docker.

Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

3+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, especially with CI/CD toolchains.

Proven expertise with Kubernetes in production environments.

Experience with Docker and docker-compose.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and Azure DevOps.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus and the ELK stack.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Additional Desired Skills:

Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

Knowledge of MQTT brokers such as Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, or Mosquitto.

Strong understanding of security best practices in containerized environments.

Experience with industrial IoT applications.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $76,395.00 - $106,953.00 CAD.
