Location : Hudson, MA

Shift : Dayshift-Monday to Friday

Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Operations Management
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Production Oversight
  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet production goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Process Improvement & Cost Control
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Optimize workflows and implement automation where necessary.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure production processes adhere to industry standards and company quality policies.
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to minimize defects and waste.
  • Conduct audits and ensure regulatory compliance (ISO, OSHA, FDA, etc.).
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, train, and mentor manufacturing teams, including supervisors and production staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Manage staffing, performance evaluations, and workforce planning.
  • Supply Chain & Vendor Coordination
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure material availability.
  • Optimize inventory management and minimize production downtime.
  • Technology & Innovation Implementation
  • Research and integrate new manufacturing technologies.
  • Implement Industry 4.0 strategies such as automation, IoT, and data analytics.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and upgrades for optimal performance.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Coordinate with engineering and sales teams for product development.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met in terms of product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Report progress and challenges to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field is required.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations management.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or director-level role overseeing multi-departmental manufacturing operations.
  • Proven track record of implementing strategic manufacturing initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Experience in small to mid-sized manufacturing environments (preferably <100 employees).

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, supply chain management, and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Global Shop Solutions, SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and certifications such as ISO 9001, OSHA, FDA, or other industry-specific requirements.
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., automation, data analytics, IoT) is a strong advantage

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills; proven ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization, from shop floor to C-suite.
  • Change management experience—leading teams through organizational growth, restructuring, or technology implementation

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver cost savings.
  • Experience in vendor negotiation and inventory optimization.
  • Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced, and evolving manufacturing environment.
