Key Responsibilities

  • Set and execute the global technical training strategy to align with company goals, product roadmap, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of training developers, technical instructors, and training partners globally
  • Make key strategic decisions on training technologies, delivery tools/platforms, certification frameworks, and external vendor partnerships.
  • Serve as the executive-level escalation point for complex technical and customer training challenges.
  • Champion A10’s core values— Customer-Centricity, Innovation, and Collaboration —across all training initiatives and team culture.
  • Act as a senior voice of Technical Training in strategic planning sessions, executive briefings, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales to shape and evolve training pricing strategies that reflect market needs and align with business goals.
  • Drive innovation in curriculum development by leading strategic project review meetings on course content updates while partnering with Product Management and cross-functional teams on revisions.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to enhance training efficiency, learner experience, and content quality.
  • Ensure training operational excellence, including monthly revenue reconciliation, content lifecycle management, training schedule planning, attendance reporting, and full training content lifecycle oversight.

Operational & Technical Leadership

  • Oversee the end-to-end design, deployment, and validation of hands-on lab environments for both instructor-led and self-paced learning.
  • Lead the creation, testing and ongoing refinement of technical certification programs/exams to meet evolving industry standards.
  • Negotiate and manage private/custom training engagements, including content customization, delivery logistics, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and hands-on mentorship to team members in advanced technologies, including L4–L7 protocols, SSL/TLS, DNS, WAF, DDoS mitigation, and load balancing deployments.
  • Guide and support team members instructional design best practices, lab development, and provide technical troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain the centralized server-based repository of training content, ensuring version control, accessibility, and governance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical training, with 3–5 years in a senior leadership or director-level capacity.
  • Background in network engineering or support is a strong plus.
  • Deep expertise in L4–L7 networking, load balancing, security technologies (WAF, SSLi, DDoS), and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, OCI).
  • Solid hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows systems; ability to lead and advise on issue resolution.
