Job Title: Window & Door Installer Industry: Manufacturing / Residential & Commercial Construction

Employment: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Starting pay: $25.00

Position Summary: RAM Windows is seeking a skilled Window & Door Installer to join our team. This position focuses on the professional installation of high-quality window and door systems at residential and commercial job sites across the Houston area. Installers will also assist with warehouse responsibilities when not working in the field. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering a top-tier customer experience. This position reports to the Installation Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install windows, doors, sashes, and associated hardware with precision and efficiency
• Inspect installed units to ensure proper operation and appearance
• Perform mulling, twinning, and shop glazing on low to mid-end product lines
• Load, unload, and transport products to and from job sites
• Secure truck/trailer tie-downs and maintain proper inventory tracking via pick tickets
• Communicate effectively with customers during on-site installation
• Take before/after photos of completed installations
• Maintain job site cleanliness and follow safety procedures at all times
• Assist with warehouse tasks, deliveries, and material handling when needed

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2–4 years of experience in construction, carpentry, or window/door installation
• Familiarity with RAM Windows, Sierra Pacific, PlyGem, LaCantina, or similar brands preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs solo and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Comfortable working on residential, commercial, and construction sites
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to read measuring tools and interpret installation specs
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Work Environment:

• Primary work will be conducted at off-site residential and commercial job locations in Houston and surrounding areas
• When not in the field, work may occur in indoor warehouse settings with exposure to dust, heat, or humidity
• Physical stamina is required to stand, walk, kneel, and lift for extended periods
