Job Summary:  Electrician With Carpentry Skills

Reedy & Company Realtors, LLC is seeking a dependable and experienced Electrician with Carpentry Skills to support our residential maintenance and renovation projects. This hands-on role includes diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, replacing components, and performing light carpentry and maintenance tasks. The right candidate will be safety-conscious, organized, and able to maintain a professional and positive demeanor while working in tenant-occupied properties or on vacant units.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, and wiring in accordance with NEC standards.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and local building codes.
  • Perform carpentry tasks such as wood repair, drywall patching, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed records using construction or maintenance software.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with tenants, clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Utilize company vehicle responsibly (must maintain a valid license and clean driving record) Maintenance & Renovation Oversight:
Preventative Maintenance:
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Identify and implement property improvements that align with Reedy standards and investment goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and renovation activities.
Vendor & Budget Management:
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized services.
  • Monitor contractor work quality and ensure timely project completion.
  • Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Safety & Compliance:
  • Enforce safety regulations and conduct routine safety training.
  • Investigate safety concerns and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and company policies.
Customer Service:
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns and complaints.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents to enhance satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of electrical work experience, with hands-on knowledge in residential settings.
    • Prior carpentry or general maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems using appropriate tools.
    • Skilled in basic carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general home maintenance.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
    • Comfortable using construction software and mobile work order platforms.
  • Certifications:
    • Electrical license or certification required.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and lift heavy equipment as needed.
    • Must be able to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Licenses:
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
    • Must be insurable under company policy.
  Physical Demands:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 75 lbs. with assistance
  • Manual dexterity required for operating power tools and handling small components
  • Repetitive motions including hammering, cutting, and fastening
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to construction-related elements such as dust, fumes, and noise
  • Occasional work at heights or in confined spaces
  • Fast-paced, hands-on environment involving indoor and outdoor work
  • Interaction with tenants, property managers, and team members
Schedule:
  • Full-time position
  • Monday–Friday with occasional overtime or after-hours work as needed
