Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative EHS Manager to lead our environmental health and safety initiatives and foster a culture of safety across the organization. This role will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a manufacturing environment and is passionate about protecting people and improving processes.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs, policies, and training.
  • Lead EHS-related training across departments, including site-specific and federally required programs.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Analyze safety data and EHS metrics to monitor trends, report on performance, and reduce incidents and injuries.
  • Manage the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) program and maintain all safety-related documentation and logs.
  • Serve as the primary contact for injury and incident investigations, emergency response planning, and case management.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and drive participation from all levels of the organization to strengthen the overall safety culture.
  • Support the development of Job Hazard Analyses, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and a Behavior-Based Safety Program.
  • Oversee the selection, usage, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Stay current with EHS regulations, industry trends, and best practices to provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
  • Perform other EHS-related duties and initiatives as needed.

What You Will Need

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and best safety practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience leading cross-functional teams or safety committees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and train employees at all levels.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software for data tracking and reporting.
  • Passionate about safety and continuous improvement with a hands-on, approachable leadership style.
