This mid-size bakery products manufacturer operates multiple state-of-the-art facilities with over 500 employees and distribution reaching 40+ states. Your Impact As EHS Manager, you'll be the driving force behind safety excellence across three production facilities totaling over 250,000 square feet. You'll lead critical safety initiatives during an exciting period of automation upgrades and facility improvements, directly impacting 550+ employees' wellbeing while ensuring compliance with stringent food safety standards. Your expertise will shape policies that protect both people and products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies across multiple facilities, reducing workplace incidents by 25% year-over-year
  • Lead ISO 14001 certification efforts and maintain SQF-Level 2 compliance standards for food safety excellence
  • Collaborate with operations teams to integrate safety protocols into newly automated production lines and equipment upgrades
  • Conduct facility-wide safety audits and inspections, identifying and mitigating risks before they become incidents
  • Design and deliver engaging safety training programs tailored to diverse manufacturing roles, from production to warehouse operations
  • Manage OSHA recordkeeping and ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety metrics and environmental sustainability
  • Oversee safety committee activities and champion a proactive safety culture throughout the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 5+ years of EHS experience with demonstrated success in manufacturing environments
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and food manufacturing safety standards
  • Proven track record managing ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems
  • Strong data analysis skills with ability to translate metrics into actionable improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in food/beverage manufacturing or consumer goods production
  • ASP or CSP certification
  • Bilingual Spanish/English capabilities (supporting diverse workforce)
