Job Description

Swoon works directly with a global leader in mission-critical hardware and system solutions , specializing in precision energetics and cutting-edge explosive technologies. We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to join the team.

Location: On-site in Graham, Kentucky (relocation assistance provided if you are not local!)

Compensation: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 + 5-10% bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DoD, DHS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee hazardous waste storage, emergency response, and safety compliance programs (e.g., LOTO, PPE, Confined Spaces).
  • Perform facility inspections, maintain EHS logs and documentation, and prepare reports.
  • Provide EHS training, certification programs, and promote incident prevention initiatives.
  • Support and drive cultural change to prioritize safety and health in the workplace.
  • Lead employee safety committee activities and Behavior-Based Safety Programs.
  • Collaborate with employees, management, customers, and regulatory agencies to maintain a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (explosives/energetics/hazardous materials exposure or aerospace/defense industry highly preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, DoD, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments and cultural change management.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and attention to detail in regulatory compliance.
