Estimator / Quoting Specialist - Manufacturing Machining

GNR is actively recruiting for an ESTIMATOR / QUOTING SPECIALIST for a well-established & reputable machining & manufacturing organization in VALENCIA, CA.

As part of a small dynamic team, you’ll review technical specifications and drawings specific to manufacturing, assembly, AND metal fabrication (machining & welding) of precision parts – most of the parts are used in the defense sector. Your role is very customer-oriented in providing detailed cost estimates for customers' RFQs in a timely manner. Requirements include;

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilized in-house resources and data to help determine costs and pricing. Analytical ability to review past sales and quote history to support current pricing.
• Work with suppliers, customers, and internal personnel (buyer, sales, and operations) to gather all the variables to draft a competitive quote.
• Ability to multi-task - working multiple quotes at various stages for various programs – new & existing customers.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Technical aptitude to review and interpret technical documents; schematics, blueprints/engineering drawings, quality standards.
• Familiar with tight tolerances and high quality std’s – ANY of the following is a PLUS - AS9100 / ISO9001, Aerospace / Defense / Medical a CNC machining environment
• 2-15 years of ESTIMATING experience related to manufacturing OR strong machining experience looking for a change. Estimating other technical solutions is acceptable. PREFERABLY metals fabrications OR contract manufacturing
• Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and some exposure to ERP/MRP systems.
• Enjoys communicating with others; this role requires solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Work effectively - independently as well as in a team/collaborative environment
• Ability to manage time efficiently to meet internal & customer deadlines.
• US Citizenship / US Permanent Resident.

Direct-hire position

Benefits - hours 7-3:30 pm

Location – in office – Valencia facility

Competitive Hourly rate + bonus
