Job Title: Catering Event Server

Location: On-location at event sites throughout the Bay Area

Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time/On-Call

Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Catering Event Servers to join our hospitality team. As a Catering Event Server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service during special events, such as weddings, corporate functions, galas, and private parties. You will be responsible for setting up, serving, and breaking down event spaces while ensuring a high standard of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up banquet tables, linens, place settings, and service stations according to event plans.
  • Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously.
  • Follow all event timelines and service protocols.
  • Assist with buffet setup and maintenance, plated service, or passed hors d'oeuvres.
  • Monitor guest needs throughout the event, responding promptly to requests.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of event space before, during, and after events.
  • Clear tables and remove dishes, glassware, and utensils discreetly.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and event management teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Handle setup and breakdown of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in catering, banquets, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of banquet-style service and formal dining etiquette.
  • RBS or ServSafe certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities may be beneficial in some environments. Must speak fluent english.

  • Fast-paced event settings including indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Varied hours depending on event schedules.
