The Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager will assist in the preparation of the financial reporting package, including US GAAP financial statements, footnotes and other supplementary schedules. This role will collaborate with GL Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, HR, and other operational departments within the Company to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.

Position: Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager

Take ownership of complex financial reporting and technical accounting functions in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and the integrity of our financial statements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly GAAP financials, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, and Statement of Equity.
  • Oversee roll-forwards for key accounts (Goodwill, Intangibles, Fixed Assets, Debt, Equity) with clear documentation and analysis.
  • Develop and refine internal reporting packages for improved accuracy, speed, and executive value.
  • Perform variance analysis to detect anomalies and drive resolution.
  • Prepare and record complex journal entries with supporting technical memos.
  • Partner with auditors to manage financial statement audits and internal controls testing.
  • Support SOX compliance efforts through policy development and process documentation.
  • Contribute to IPO-readiness initiatives, including ESG disclosures, SEC reporting, and technical accounting guidance.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and finance to ensure proper treatment of complex transactions.
  • Mentor accounting team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred; public accounting experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experience.
  • Proficient technical accounting skills and thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
  • Experience with the application and adoption of new accounting standards.
  • Management and supervisory experience a plus but not required.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in preparing work.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative skills, and accounting research skills.
  • Aptitude for working with data and managing complex data workflows.
  • Preference for familiarity with the following tools and technology:

  • SQL
  • Python
  • Business Intelligence and Analytical Process Automation
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working for a $1B company preferred.
