 Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist/Administrative Assistant will help run the daily functions of the HR Department and assist the Executive Vice President when/where necessary. This includes but is not limited to: reviewing and processing payroll, onboarding/offboarding, discipline, conflict resolution, enforcing company policies and practices, facilitating payment of rents, utilities, marketing and legal amounts due, as well as basic administrative duties. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, professional yet open-minded and wants to grow with a growing company!

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Regular communication and collaboration with the Executive Vice President
  • Perform all tasks associated with onboarding and offboarding
  • Perform the review and approval of payroll for all locations
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations and occupational health and safety
  • Performs other operational duties required to support spa locations, including rent payments, utility payments, coordination and tracking of location specific payables and receivables
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate leadership
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as necessary as well as attendance at the mandatory monthly all company meetings
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties that develop as role continues to evolve and grow

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • One to three years of human resource experience required
  • One to three years of administrative experience preferred

Travel/Other:

· This is a primarily remote position, so candidate must have the ability to perform necessary tasks in a home/remote location. 

· Candidate must be willing to travel to different spa locations when necessary, which include those throughout Michigan, Ohio and Windsor, Canada.

· Candidate must be willing to spend one to three days per week in an office in Madison Heights during the first several months of employment for training and learning purposes

· Must attend monthly all company meetings, which take place on the last Sunday of each month at 10:30 am, location TBD, but usually in Madison Heights.

· Must be available outside of “standard” business hours. Availability should align with the needs to the company, as much as possible, which operate 7 days per week and from 10:00 am – 9:00 pm.
