Position Summary: We are seeking an Immigration Staff Attorney for our Plantation office. As part of an interdisciplinary team, the attorney will assist with Naturalization, Green Card Renewals, Temporary Protected Status renewals, Adjustment of Status applications, and some removal defense before the Immigration Court and the Department of Homeland Security. The attorney will also be cross trained in other areas of immigration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide individual immigration consultations
• Represent clients before various agencies, including immigration court, ICE, USCIS, and state and federal courts, in applications and advocacy for relief from removal
• Draft and complete immigration forms and packets to be sent to USCIS and Immigration Court

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• No experience necessary; willing to train
• Ability to manage a large caseload and function professionally in a highly stressful environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including other attorneys, support staff, volunteers, and community partners
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to balance and manage a variety of responsibilities
• Strong commitment to social, economic, and racial justice
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams
• Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, are a plus
