Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Description:

PrideStaff is recruiting for a well known food manufacturing company who is in need of multiple Industrial Maintenance Mechanics. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will maintain and repair the reliable operation of the production line by independently repairing, maintaining, and installing both the automated and manual equipment used in ice cream production. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will ensure there is minimal downtime by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Sanitation Practices, and safety standards. The ideal Industrial Maintenance Mechanic has solid knowledge of repairing, servicing, and installing equipment in a manufacturing environment. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is a full time, temp to hire position in West Palm Beach, FL.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor Production Lines & Make Necessary Adjustments or Repairs as Needed
• Rebuild Component Parts of Machinery When Necessary
• Follow The Preventative Maintenance Program by Doing The Assigned Work & Filling Out The Proper Paperwork
• Inspect & Report Potential Equipment Failure to Supervisor
• Work Closely With Machine Operators, Production Managers & Sanitation to Keep The Machinery in The Best Possible Running Condition
• Follow Food Safety Rules, Plant GMP’s & Safe Working Practices
• Must be Able to Work Flexible Schedules Which Include Nights & Weekends
• Pursue CARO Certification if Not Already Acquired
• Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 3+ Years of Experience in Production Environment Required
• Solid Knowledge of Pneumatic & Industrial-Level Electrical Control Systems
• Proficient to Diagnose, Repair, Disassemble, & Reassemble Motors, Gearboxes, Pumps, Air Cylinders, & Related Equipment
• Must be Able to Troubleshoot Control Circuits, Interpret Wiring Diagrams, & Work With Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), Servo Control Systems, & Motor Starters
• Ability to Read, Interpret, & Apply Information From Safety Rules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Maintenance Instructions, & Equipment Manuals
