Location: Yonkers, New York (Westchester County)

Position Type: Full-time

Setting: Hospital Based Academic Infectious Disease Position

Overview:
Join our collaborative and innovative academic team as a full-time Infectious Disease Physician in Yonkers, just north of New York City. This role blends inpatient consultative care, outpatient practice, and meaningful teaching and mentorship of Internal Medicine residents and medical students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient Infectious Disease consultations throughout the inpatient care settings.
  • Conduct 1–2 half-day outpatient clinic sessions weekly.
  • Share call responsibilities (~1 weekend/month) with a supportive team of ID specialists.
  • Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and infection control programs.
  • Supervise and teach residents and students; We encourage participation in conferences, academic rounds, and lectures.
  • Optional involvement in clinical research and quality improvement projects.

Schedule & Teaching:

  • Workweek: Monday–Friday full-time with 1-2 dedicated outpatient clinic half days/week at a hospital affiliated clinic (usually to provide follow up for discharged patients etc.)
  • Telemedicine: Available as needed.
  • Academic Involvement: Supervise rotating IM residents and students. Encouraged participation in hospital rounds, M&M conferences, and multidisciplinary education.


Qualifications:

  • MD/DO; Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Infectious Diseases.
  • NY State Medical License and DEA registration (or eligibility).
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to academic medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, and multidisciplinary education.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $250,000–$275,000 (commensurate with experience) plus bonus incentives.
