Role: Mobile Manual QA Tester (IoT)
Duration: 6-month contract to hire
Location: Onsite, St Paul 55102
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated QA Resource to join our team in St. Paul, MN, to support the clients in house application by testing connected equipment and IoT devices, including traps and other hardware. This role focuses on ensuring seamless interaction between the client application and connected devices, including commissioning, decommissioning, and event collection via Bluetooth. The ideal candidate will work closely with R&D and development teams to validate device integration with the client's application and identify issues before production deployment. The role requires hands-on manual testing onsite.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Local Presence: Must be based in St. Paul, MN, with the ability to work in-office and visit labs in St. Paul and Eagan.
Experience in IoT Testing: Familiarity with testing connected equipment and IoT devices, particularly in Bluetooth connectivity and device integration.
Manual Testing Expertise: Proven ability to perform hands-on manual testing, including device wake-up, connection validation, commissioning, and decommissioning.
Understanding of Hardware-Software Integration: Ability to test and validate how the application interacts with connected devices without qualifying the hardware itself.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on iterative testing to identify and resolve issues in multiple use cases and corner cases.
Collaboration Skills: Comfortable working face-to-face with R&D and development teams to provide actionable feedback and ensure smooth handoff between application and device functionality.
