Job Description

Job Description: Law firm located in Wellesley is seeking a full-time litigation legal assistant. MUST have 1+ years' litigation experience from a law firm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to several mixed-level attorneys
  • Provide limited support to office manager
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients
  • Draft legal documents
  • File various legal documents (e-filing)
  • Conduct social media searches
  • Scheduling
  • Outgoing mail
  • Minimal phone backup
  • Some data entry
  • Obtain electronic file materials (Box, CounselLink, Dropbox, numerous secure platforms)
  • Setup of and assistance with coordinating remote proceedings/webinars (Microsoft Teams, GoToWebinar, Skype, Zoom, etc.)
  • Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders

Skills

  • Time management
  • Knowledge of legal terminology / regulations / court system preferred
  • Proficiency in legal technology / e-filing / filing fees preferred
  • Proficiency in Rule 9A preferred
