Litigation Legal Assistant

Location: Walnut Creek, CA (On-Site)

Compensation: $93,000 – $120,000/year

Job Type: Direct Hire, Full Time, Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite)

LHH is working with a prominent law firm in Walnut Creek in seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. This is a dynamic position supporting litigation attorneys with case management, court filings, and administrative coordination across a variety of matters. The ideal candidate is proactive, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. Strong knowledge of court procedures, e-filing platforms, and litigation document preparation is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • File legal documents electronically with state and federal courts and agencies in compliance with applicable rules
  • Manage document filing and organization in NetDocuments
  • Prepare and update litigation documents, including tables of contents and authorities
  • Coordinate finalization and service of court filings and administrative documents
  • Support attorneys with calendar management, billing coordination, and internal task submissions
  • Maintain accurate case records, client matter openings, and contact lists in relevant systems (e.g., Outlook, InterAction)
  • Track and report on daily assignments and project progress
  • May assist with client billing review and pre-bill edits
  • Coordinate transcription and printing/assembly needs with appropriate departments

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a litigation legal assistant or similar legal support role
  • Solid understanding of court procedures and e-filing platforms for both state and federal systems
  • Proficiency in legal software such as NetDocuments, Outlook, and CRM tools
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, proactive, and team-oriented
