Full Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end movement of goods across domestic and international channels. This role oversees import and export operations, air and ground shipments, warehouse coordination, and logistics billing. The ideal candidate will ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant transportation and storage of goods while maintaining accurate documentation and effective communication with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
Your Responsibilities:
Import/Export Coordination:
· Coordinate inbound and outbound international shipments in compliance with import/export laws and regulations.
· Prepare and verify shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
· Coordinate and communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth customs clearance.
Air & Ground Transportation:
· Arrange domestic and international shipments via air and ground carriers.
· Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays or disruptions.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of carrier routes, transit times, and freight rates.
Warehouse Coordination:
· Coordinate with third-party warehouses and internal teams to manage inventory levels, inbound receipts, and outbound shipments.
· Monitor storage space, handling procedures, and order fulfillment timelines.
· Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and loading of goods to meet quality and compliance standards.
Billing & Documentation:
· Review and reconcile carrier and warehouse invoices against services rendered.
· Create and process logistics invoices for customers based on shipment details and contractual rates.
· Maintain accurate records of all shipping, receiving, and billing documents.
· Support month-end reporting and assist with audits as needed
· Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
· 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation coordination, including import/export.
· Knowledge of freight forwarding, international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
· Familiarity with logistics software, ERP systems, and shipment tracking tools.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
