Job Description

A Pallet Management client of Insight Global is seeking a first shift Machine Technician in Blue Island, IL. This Machine Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, ensuring smooth operations in a manufacturing environment. This role involves troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and working independently, with vendor technicians, and as part of the maintenance team to solve mechanical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Utilize strong mechanical aptitude to address and resolve issues.
• Interface with Machine Vendor Technicians for specific issues.
• Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed.
• Apply excellent problem-solving abilities to identify and fix mechanical problems.

Must Haves:

• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Plusses:

• Bilingual in Spanish.

Compensation:

$28/hr to $35/hr.
