Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in ensuring the safety, functionality, and comfort of our healthcare and residential facilities. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and operational environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond promptly to unanticipated facility needs to minimize risk and service disruption.
· Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment.
· Maintain compliance with safety procedures and local, state, and national codes.
· Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across multiple disciplines.
· Electrical: Lighting, outlets, switches, panels, ATS, EPSS testing, medium voltage systems.
· Plumbing: Fixtures, valves, faucets, toilets, drains.
· HVAC: Filters, coils, compressors, VFDs.
· Power Plant Systems: Boilers, chillers, water softeners.
· General Maintenance: Carpentry, painting, workspace modifications, fire/smoke wall repairs.
· Groundskeeping: Snow removal, exterior building upkeep.
· Patient Care Equipment: Fire detection systems, pneumatic tube systems.
· Backup Systems: Generators, UPS, SCADA, Power Logic software.
· Mentor and coach other technicians.
· Maintain inventory and documentation of parts and repairs.
· Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergencies.
· Attend training sessions and maintain certifications.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Skills & Competencies
· Proven experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general property maintenance.
· Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and maintenance software.
· Effective communication with coworkers, residents, families, and contractors.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, stooping, bending, etc.).
