Position Description – Project Manager (Contractor Position) for Materials Team for the Consumer portfolio (Skin Health, Essential Health and Self Care)

Position summary:

Project Manager role for Materials team related projects will lead the development and implementation of critical raw material supply chain across our global Consumer portfolio (Skin Health, Essential Health and Self Care. These projects may include qualifying alternate suppliers for raw materials to strengthen the raw material supply chain robustness and enable cost benefits. He / She will manage various work streams globally to ensure alignment across key stakeholders throughout the project planning and implementation cycle. He / She will help facilitate meeting forums, monitor progress and provide necessary support for process and project / program changes. The position will be in Summit, NJ and is hybrid (2-3 days a week on site)

Key responsibilities of the Project Manager include leading and managing the following:

  • Support a team of Scientists to ensure seamless end-to-end execution and implementation of key raw materials supply chain related projects.
  • Organize and conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with various business partners to drive project related activities. Develop effective meeting agendas, coordinate presenters, and ensure thorough follow-up on meeting notes and action items.
  • Support the team in a broad range of business-critical and strategic projects from regional to global - meet business timelines for supply disruptions, key chemical resiliency and cost savings initiatives
  • Facilitate meetings with leadership teams to ensure that raw material qualifications are strategically aligned with the organization’s objectives.
  • Ensure sufficient resource allocation to execute projects end to end and manage budget with proper documentation
  • Deliver updates on critical projects to senior leadership, serving as a strategic advisor to ensure informed decision-making and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance, integrate, and streamline current processes. Collaborate with cross-functional and global stakeholders to implement improvements that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proficient with digital tools and update project trackers to ensure most up to date status is reflected regularly

Qualification and experience

B.A. or B.S. with 8+ years of professional experience in project Management in CPG industry

  • Experience managing global projects is required.
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, coordinate, manage and execute assigned tasks is required.
  • Experience and demonstrated results managing and resolving conflict, including ability to communicate risks, issues, and actions to resolution, and to drive continuous improvement of procedures / practices is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional and cross-sector partners within and outside to achieve desired outcomes is required.
  • Excellent oral and written, and presentation communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work in Summit, NJ is required.
  • A background in raw materials and manufacturing in CPG industry is preferred.
