Position Summary

Seeds of Learning is seeking a qualified and dedicated Math Teacher to provide one-on-one tutoring for students in grades 1–8. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in math education and a passion for helping students grow both academically and personally. This is a part-time, in-home position with potential for expanded hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized math instruction aligned with each student’s curriculum and assessment results
• Support student learning in areas such as number sense, computation, problem-solving, and reasoning
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans tailored to individual progress
• Collaborate with Seeds of Learning’s team to create progress reports and communicate with parents
• Maintain consistency and professionalism, including punctuality and proactive communication regarding scheduling
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages academic independence and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field (or currently pursuing one)
• Teaching certification or licensure is preferred, but not required
• Experience teaching or tutoring students in grades 1–8
• Strong communication, time management, and instructional skills
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to students’ homes
