Paycom HRIS Consultant

PAY RATE: $40–$60/hour

Location: Plano, TX 75024

CONTRACT ROLE-6 months

Schedule: Hybrid – 1 day a week onsite, Monday through Friday

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented HRIS / HR Data Analyst to support a major HR systems integration during a recent company acquisition. This is a critical role focused on HR data consolidation, system optimization, and delivering workforce insights that will shape strategic decisions across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

HR Data Integration & Cleansing

  • Migrate and consolidate employee data from the acquired organization into the existing Paycom environment
  • Cleanse and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance

Advanced Reporting & Dashboards

  • Develop custom reports and dashboards using Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and Power BI
  • Deliver real-time insights and status updates on workforce integration to leadership

Paycom System Optimization

  • Configure workflows, fields, and user permissions to align with the expanded workforce
  • Act as the go-to expert for Paycom-related troubleshooting and system enhancements

Complex Data Analysis

  • Perform trend analysis and predictive modeling (e.g., attrition risk, workforce costs, productivity)
  • Align compensation structures, job codes, and benefits plans across legacy and acquired systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to ensure consistent data flow
  • Join M&A integration meetings as the HR data subject matter expert

Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain rigorous data validation protocols and support audit readiness
  • Uphold data security standards and establish access control measures post-acquisition

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS or HR data analysis
  • Hands-on expertise with Paycom (reporting, configuration, and data extraction)
  • Advanced Excel skills — Power Query, pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and complex formulas
  • Proficiency with Power BI and data visualization best practices
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret large datasets with precision
  • Familiarity with payroll, benefits, compensation, or compliance regulations
  • Experience supporting HR integrations during M&A activities is a plus
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
