Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Fremont, CA (100% Onsite)
Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 annually + bonus
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Our client, a growing organization in Fremont, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have deep knowledge of payroll best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess end-to-end payroll for up to 300 employees across multiple states.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll administration in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Administer 401(k) and other payroll-related benefits, deductions, and garnishments.
Maintain employee records and payroll data with strict confidentiality.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide reporting support.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
5+ years of payroll experience with proven ability to handle multi-state payroll .
Hands-on experience with PAYCOM software ( required ).
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage & hour laws, and compliance requirements.
Experience processing payroll for 300+ employees preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general payroll reporting.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Competitive base salary of $75,000 - $80,000 , plus bonus potential.
