These Physical Therapy Assistant positions are in the Physical Medicine and Rehab services at the VA Boston Healthcare Systems. Incumbent serves as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assigned to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS) for the VA Boston Healthcare System (VA BHS). The primary function of this position is to participate with the supervising Physical Therapist (PT) in the planning and implementation of both simple and complex treatment programs, in the Outpatient setting, and apply physical therapy procedures under the general supervision of a PT.
Work Schedule : Tour may include evening hours, permanent weekend day, and/or weekend/holiday rotation.
- West Roxbury : Tuesday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Brockton : Monday -Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Jamaica Plain : Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
