Job Description

Position: Player Development Host

Summary: Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Player Development Host. This role plays a crucial part in the casino's success by providing exceptional service to patrons, identifying high-value players, and contributing to the overall player development strategy. The Player Development Host will work closely with the Promotions and Events department, handle customer requests on the casino floor, and actively engage in both on-property and off-property marketing events.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Promotions and Events department to fulfill related duties.
  • Participate in on-property and off-property marketing events, promotions, and special events.
  • Address customer requests and service issues on the casino floor.
  • Input reservations for comps, special events, promotions, and other Marketing requests.
  • Work assigned locations on the floor, including High Limit Rooms, Player’s Club, Slot Floor, and Table Games.
  • Respond to phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Handle difficult guests and situations calmly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain close ties with customers to foster loyalty.
  • Clearly communicate programs/services, seek support, and keep stakeholders informed of relevant changes.
  • Perform outbound sales services (Growth and Reactivation) using defined and targeted sales leads.
  • Utilize traditional telemarketing efforts to develop players, encouraging return visits and building customer loyalty.
  • Develop the player base by promoting Rush Rewards to qualified gaming guests.
  • Coordinate guest visits, including hotel trips, meals, and events.
  • Assist guests with questions and special requests to ensure maximum convenience and comfort.
  • Maintain discretion in communication regarding customers, player accounts, and circumstances.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to remain professional and handle stress in a high-pressure, fast-paced casino gaming floor environment.
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience in decisively resolving problems and adapting to changes.
  • Ability to determine when senior leadership assistance is necessary for problem-solving.
  • Comfort with constant exposure to casino-related environmental factors.
  • Effective communication in English with Team Members and guests.
  • Ability to traverse through the casino to arrive at assigned locations.

Certifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking
  • Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
  • Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently
