Job Description

Boca Prep International School is seeking a Pre-Kindergarten 3 Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate should be someone with a passion for early childhood education, while promoting the development of young people to contribute proactively to the ongoing work towards a better world.

Founded in 1997, has been providing a student-centered, college-preparatory, International Baccalaureate (IB) education for students in preschool through 12th grade as an independent school. The school was IB authorized in 2009 and became an IB World School in 2016, offering all three programs of the International Baccalaureate, as well as extra-curricular activities, community service, performance programs, and the performing arts that are all emphasized alongside the highest expectations for academic engagement and attainment. With over 50 countries represented in our student body, Boca Prep has developed its own community with an international perspective. With small class sizes and an experienced and caring faculty, we help develop students to become lifelong learners and global citizens.

Boca Prep is an (IES) school. Students and faculty from IES schools are members of a worldwide network of international schools that work together, share expertise, and offer cultural and linguistic exchanges. IES schools focus on the individual student through small classes, mentoring, and a system of personalized learning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with the school's mission and educational philosophy.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Integrate technology and experiential learning into daily instruction.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development and learning.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and administrators to enhance instructional practices.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
  • Uphold and model the school’s core values and community expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Prior experience teaching in an early childhood setting is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an International Baccalaureate school is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of early childhood development and differentiated instruction.
  • Enthusiasm for working with preschoolers and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 45 Hour Training mandated by FL Department of Children and Families is to be completed within 12 months of hire date.
  • Completion of Birth Through Five Child Care Credential: FCCPC, DOE, CCAC, ECPC or Current National CDA (Child Development Associate) or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Pediatric First Aid/CPR (training provided by the school)
