You will lead a team of Product Line Representatives and Strategic Buyers, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to execute investment strategies, evaluate asset opportunities, and achieve financial targets.

This role requires a deep understanding of the commercial aviation aftermarket, particularly related to landing gear and APU components, and demands proactive leadership in market analysis, technical assessments, vendor relationships, and margin optimization.

Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:

  • Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis to inform investment decisions and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support marketing, quoting, and closing of landing gear and APU material opportunities.
  • Participate in technical evaluations and audits of assets prior to acquisition, including traceability and repair history.
  • Ensure materials meet airworthiness and certification standards and are properly prepared for resale or customer fulfillment.
  • Manage disassembly projects, vendor repairs, and drop shipments to optimize cost and turnaround time.
  • Lead and mentor Product Line Representatives and Strategic Buyers, aligning team goals with company revenue and profit targets.
  • Track sales performance, market trends, and inventory turnover to ensure alignment with company financial plans.
  • Attend industry events and customer meetings to identify acquisition and sales opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leadership, sales VPs, and operations to maintain a healthy pipeline of high-value, serviceable material assets.
  • Drive initiatives to liquidate aging inventory and improve material velocity.
  • Maintain pricing models and market data to support internal decision-making and sales enablement.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation parts, component repair, or product line management, preferably with a focus on Landing Gear and APU.
  • Strong understanding of commercial aircraft systems, parts traceability, teardown programs, and FAA/EASA certification standards.
  • Familiarity with Airbus and Boeing platforms, as well as surplus material evaluation and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex asset evaluations, and develop financial models (Proformas) to support investment decisions.
  • Demonstrated success in vendor negotiations, pricing strategies, market analysis, and margin optimization.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite; experienced with ERP/MRP and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical and financial data clearly across departments and to external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to assess complex issues and recommend effective solutions aligned with company goals.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Professional, team-oriented, and self-motivated with a high degree of adaptability, discretion, and initiative.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in high-pressure or sensitive situations.
  • Capable of interpreting and applying company policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
