Currently seeking a Home Health Registered Nurse for great opportunity in the Decatur, GA area. The ideal candidate will possess 1 to 2 years of home health experience or 2 years clinical experience but not in home health (i.e. Med surg, ER, ICU.)
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Home Health
Demonstrate clinical expertise in nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, and advanced proficiency in technical skills necessary for developing, providing, and coordinating care to patients.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts.
Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders.
Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
Assist surgeons during operations.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Home Health
Associate's Degree
Current Georgia RN license
1 to 2 years of home health experience or 2 years clinical experience but not in home health (i.e. Med surg, ER, ICU.
Must be familiar with general use and functions of the compute
Current CPR
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other funding source regulations as applied to home health care services
Demonstrate knowledge and competence in advanced practice nursing skills, including the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team
Willingness to Travel
Must have valid automobile insurance and reliable transportation
