Job Description

Are you an experienced residential roofing estimator looking to join a reputable, growth-focused company? West Coast Roofing is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Residential Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates, proposals, and material take-offs for our residential roofing projects.

Location: Arizona

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation: Salary or Hourly + Commission/Bonus on awarded jobs

Key Responsibilities:

Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications for residential roofing projects
Perform precise plan take-offs for shingles, tile, metal, and low-slope systems
Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
Develop competitive project proposals and bids
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Project Management teams to support bidding and job handoff
Assist in scheduling material deliveries and crew labor based on estimates
Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
Prepare clear, professional homeowner proposals and document all estimate details

Qualifications:

3+ years of residential roofing estimating experience
Proficiency in blueprint reading and plan take-offs
Strong knowledge of shingles, tile, metal, and low-slope roofing systems
Excellent math and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and negotiation skills with homeowners, vendors, and team members
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Familiarity with estimating and project management software (Proline, Active Take-Off, or similar) preferred
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel to job sites
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously
Professional presentation and homeowner-facing communication
