This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in the United States .
In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level data solutions that support large-scale business operations. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams to create efficient data pipelines, ensure data quality, and drive innovation in database architecture. This position involves overseeing scalability, security, and performance of reporting databases while mentoring junior team members and leading complex projects. You will also work with cloud technologies and advanced data platforms to transform and deliver insights that support strategic business initiatives. Your work will directly impact the organization’s ability to leverage data effectively and make data-driven decisions.
· Architect and implement enterprise-scale database solutions to meet business objectives.
· Oversee scalability, performance, and security of reporting and operational database environments.
· Lead complex database initiatives, including migrations, upgrades, and cloud integrations.
· Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and transformation using SSIS .
· Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to design efficient data workflows.
· Create data flow solutions leveraging Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage .
· Conduct capacity planning, performance reviews, and enforce database governance policies.
· Mentor junior staff and guide database architecture decisions for enterprise projects.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
· 7+ years of experience in enterprise-level data engineering and architecture.
· Expertise in RDBMS and distributed database technologies, including performance and resource management.
· Strong proficiency in T-SQL , SSIS , and SSRS for data pipeline and reporting solutions.
· Experience with version control systems such as GitHub , and CI/CD processes.
· Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and designing data flow solutions using Azure services.
· Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI , and building enterprise-level data models.
· Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Excellent communication and mentoring skills to guide team members and collaborate cross-functionally.
· Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing complex initiatives.
