Job Description

Andrews & Cole is currently working on a full-time Senior Financial Analyst opportunity with one of the largest investor-owned water utilities in the U.S., serving over 1 million people in 80+ California communities for more than 90 years.

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst supports financial planning by preparing budgets, analyzing financial data, maintaining forecasts, and evaluating business opportunities. This role requires strong financial and accounting expertise and collaboration with multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops annual budgets and tracks financial performance.
• Conducts analyses comparing actual financial results to forecasts.
• Assesses rate cases and regulatory decisions affecting financial forecasts.
• Evaluates new business opportunities and acquisitions.
• Updates financial models and performs scenario analyses.
• Provides reports for leadership and regulatory filings.
• Ensures strong financial controls and policy compliance.

• Proficient in MS Excel and financial modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in financial analysis and modeling.
• Strong ability to interpret and present financial data.
• Utilities industry experience is highly preferred.
